Iron Man 2 didn’t break any records, but it still made over $52 Million on its first day of release in the United States.
As of Friday night, the film has already surpassed the opening-night numbers of the first Iron Man which opened with $38 Million in ticket sales two years ago.
Analysts are predicting that the movie will make $130 Million total for the weekend, coming behind only The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 3, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
