Iron Man 2 DVD Details & Release Date!

Thanks to MTV’s Splash Page, we now have a release date for Iron Man 2 on DVD and Blu-ray — that would be September 28 — and we also have a list of extras. Here’s what we have to look forward to:

After a very brief cameo in the first Iron Man film, Captain America’s shield makes another appearance in the sequel. Director Jon Favreau spoke with MTV News about the shield’s appearances in the following video:

Geek Tyrant Compiles Iron Man 2 Easter Eggs

Did you catch the Incredible Hulk reference in Iron Man 2? What about the nod to Wakanda, home of the Black Panther?

Iron Man 2 Saturday Box Office: Over $45 Million

Early predicted box office returns for Iron Man 2 on Saturday night in the U.S. are hovering above $45 million, possibly going as high as $48.5 million for the night.

Quite a feat when you consider that some films don’t even make that much for their entire runs.

Iron Man 2 Nets Over $52 Million On U.S. Opening Day

Iron Man 2Iron Man 2 didn’t break any records, but it still made over $52 Million on its first day of release in the United States.

As of Friday night, the film has already surpassed the opening-night numbers of the first Iron Man which opened with $38 Million in ticket sales two years ago.

Analysts are predicting that the movie will make $130 Million total for the weekend, coming behind only The Dark Knight, Spider-Man 3, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
