Deadline.com is noting that not only does Iron Man 2 have the widest release in Hollywood history with 4,380 North American theaters, but it has also already made $132 million from the other countries that released the film prior to the North American release.

On the East Coast of the United States, it is now midnight, so when you have seen the film, be sure to talk about it at the KryptonSite forums.

Some of our counterparts in the United Kingdom have already seen it, but now it’s our turn in the United States, as Iron Man 2 has wide release on Friday, May 7.
Will it live up to its predecessor? Guess we’ll have to see…

Robert Downey Jr. recently took on the interview circuit to promote Iron Man 2 and in doing so talked a little bit about the upcoming Avengers film.
He didn’t confirm his participation in The Avengers just yet. “I don’t know,” he said. “I try not to think about that stuff, because everything changes in success, and everything changes in lack of success.”
When asked if Tony Stark/Iron Man will take orders from Chris Evans’ Captain America, Downey said “I’ll clown all of them. I’ll just clown those fools.”
Downey also has confirmed he did visit the set of Thor as a bit of a “Marvel ambassador.”
