A video of Robert Downey Jr. visiting the Meltdown comic book store on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood has now surfaced, and if you watch around the 1:20 point, you’ll even see him looking at the excellent New Avengers: The Reunion trade paperback, which is a prequel to the new Marvel Hawkeye & Mockingbird series that came out this week.
Robert Downey Jr. recently took on the interview circuit to promote Iron Man 2 and in doing so talked a little bit about the upcoming Avengers film.
He didn’t confirm his participation in The Avengers just yet. “I don’t know,” he said. “I try not to think about that stuff, because everything changes in success, and everything changes in lack of success.”
When asked if Tony Stark/Iron Man will take orders from Chris Evans’ Captain America, Downey said “I’ll clown all of them. I’ll just clown those fools.”
Downey also has confirmed he did visit the set of Thor as a bit of a “Marvel ambassador.”
